Skill Assessments (CPA/ACS/ANMAC etc.):
here are different assessment bodies which assess the whether the applicant meets the standard for the industry they intend to work into. Skill Assessment is mandatory for General Skilled migration visas an applicant may apply. Each assessing body for different has its own.
Student visa (subclass 500)
Student visa allows students from different nations to stay and study in Australia for the duration of their respective study. Student visa can be applied for full time courses which includes Vocational Study, Higher Education, degree by research and other too.
Visitor visa (subclass 600):
If you wish to visit Australia for leisure or business purpose, this visa would be best for you. Visitor Visa 600 allows you family or friends to stay for 3,6,12,36 months depending on the duration of the visa granted by the Department of Home Affairs.
Temporary Work visa (subclass 485):
Temporary Work visa is for those international students who recently graduated from Australian Education providers. Family members can also be part of the application. The Duration for this visa may vary from 18 months to 4 year depending on the individual scenario.
Dependent visas (Student/TR-485)
Student/TR Dependent (Subsequent Entrant) visas are for the family members accompanying main applicant, who can be a spouse/de-facto or a child. For student dependent visa, the family member’s works right may be limited depending on the level of education the main applicant is enrolled in. In case TR-485 visa, both primary and secondary applicants get full work rights.
Partner visas (subclass 820/801, 309/100)
Partner Visa 820/801: This visa category is for offshore applicants. Partner 820 is a temporary visa that allows a de facto partner or spouse of an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen to live in Australia temporarily. This is the first step of getting Partner visa 801 (Permanent Visa). Visa processing would usually take up to 18-24 months but the Department of Home Affairs is likely to prioritize partner visa applications in 2021 and may finalise them within few months..
Parent visa (Onshore/Offshore)
This visa enables parents to join them in Australia whose one or more children are currently residing in Australia and are Australian Citizen or Permanent resident. Applicant must not have already applied for or hold a Sponsored Parent (Temporary) (Subclass 870) visa when applying for this visa. Student guardian visa (subclass 590)
Student Guardian visas are for those who are relatives of international students who are 18 years or younger. The guardian intends to come to Australia for sole purpose of accompanying and support the child while their study in Australia. Applicant can be student’s parents, custodian or relative but must be 21 years or older. This visa can be granted only up to duration of the student visa held by student visa holder.
Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189)
Skilled independent visa is based on point system. It allows an eligible individual to migrate and live in Australia permanently, without any requirement for family or state sponsorship. With this visa, individuals can sponsor relatives for Permanent residency and also be eligible for Australian citizenship. To be eligible to apply for this visa, one must have the nominated occupation on the relevant skilled occupation list issued and must be invited by the Department to apply for this visa This visa needs to be applied within 60 days of receiving the invitation.
State Sponsorship (subclass 190, 491, 191):
The General skilled migration programme is for those who want to live, study and work in Australia. You can get add your family members in application as well, such Spouse/de-facto or child. This visa is Point based. Every state has their own requirements and eligibility criteria. You need to have at least 65 point is order to submit an EOI. Fro state nominated visas – 491 and 190, once you submit your EOI through Skillset then you need to wait for the state you select your application and invite you to apply for the visa.
Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa Subclass 188:
usiness visa has five streams. 188A VISA (BUSINESS AND INNOVATION STREAM): This visa lets you operate a new or existing business in Australia. And allows you to stay in Australia for 4+ years. 188B Visa (Investor Stream): This visa gives 4 years of provisional Visa in Australia which requires applicant to invest at least AUD1.5 million in an Australian State or Territory and maintain business or investment activity in Australia.
Citizenship
A permanent resident of Australia can acquire Citizenship by conferral. Duration of this process can take up to 12-24 months. General Requirements for getting a citizenship by conferral are: Be a permanent resident. Must pass citizenship test with at least 75% Must not been away from Australia for more than a year in total in the past 4 years, including no more than 90 days in total in the past 12 months.
Travel Exemption:
Australian borders are strict with the arrivals and departures. Temporary visa holders can exit the country however they are unlikely to be permitted to re-enter in the current scenario.
